Dismissal
Dear parents,
We are having several problems with parent pick up and drop off of students.
We need everyone to follow the school’s procedures for drop off and pick up of students to ensure:
1. safety,
2. respect for procedures and
3. dismissal in a timely manner
We have about 640 students in the school that need to go home at the end of the day and without buses, we have many students that are car riders. Therefore, we have a lot of vehicles lined up at the end of the day trying to pick up their students and we have some parents not following procedures for car rider students.
Dismissal Procedures for car rider students:
1. Students should have a car rider number and sit until their number is called
2. Vehicles will line up on walker street facing North to go in the school’s parking lot
3. Vehicles are not allowed to cut in the line
4. Parents are not allowed to park and get the students from the lines (this disrupts our dismissal procedure and interrupts traffic)
5. Vehicles will exit the parking lot with a right turn going North bound on Walker Street
Parents please help us speed up our dismissal by following procedures. We are only doing this for the safety of all students, parents, and staff. Please know that we are very aware that we need more space and are currently working with the city and district to come up with a plan that will make this process easier for all involved.
**On bad weather days we keep students inside to keep them safe and warm. Please be patient. We are only doing this to keep the children safe and warm.

Estamos teniendo muchos problemas con la recogida y dejada de estudiantes.
Necesitamos que todos sigan los procedimientos de la escuela para dejar y recoger los niños y asegurarnos de que tengan:
1. Seguridad
2. Respeto por los procedimientos y
3. Una salida de la escuela de una manera pronta y ordenada
Tenemos cerca de 640 estudiantes en la escuela que necesitan ir a casa al final del dia y sin autobuses, tenemos muchos estudiantes que se van en carro. Entonces, tenemos muchos vehículos en línea al final del dia para recoger estudiantes y tenemos padres que no están siguiendo los procedimientos para los niños que se van en carro.
Procedimiento para estudiantes que se van en carro:
1. Estudiantes deberán de tener un numero de carro y sentarse hasta que su número sea llamado
2. Vehículos se alinearan en la calle Walker viendo hacia el Norte para poder entrar al estacionamiento
3. Vehículos no podrán cortar y meterse en la línea
4. Los padres no pueden estacionarse y llevarse a los niños de las líneas (esto altera/trastorna nuestro procedimiento de salida e interrumpe el trafico de carros)
5. Los vehículos saldrán del estacionamiento a mano derecha, yendo Norte en la calle Walker
Padres por favor ayúdenos a hacer mas rápida la salida de los niños a través de seguir los procedimientos de salida. Nosotros solo estamos haciendo esto para la seguridad de todos los niños, padres y personal de la escuela. Nosotros estamos consientes de que necesitamos mas espacio y estamos trabajando con la ciudad y el distrito para tener un plan que hará este proceso más fácil para todos.
** En los días de mal clima, nosotros mantenemos a los estudiantes adentro para mantenerlos seguros y sin frio. Por favor sea paciente. Nosotros solo estamos haciendo esto para mantener a los niños seguros y sin estar al intemperie.
